I mean, John is just such a typical man that of course he thinks the world revolves around him *lol* And I wanted to do something that emphasized Teyla's leadership background. I don't see her as having been subservient to anyone when she was the leader of the Athosians, so would would the people who she's dealt with before even assume that she's subservient to these silly little newcomers to the galaxy?
