Oooh, I like that.

Some of my fav bits:
"a feisty little blonde that was too pretty to be a Marine",
the fact that she wouldn't have been afforded any 'special treatment' by the Army, but that Lorne understood and showed up at her door, dress blues and all,
the fact that he stayed with her, as a friend, taking care of the loved one of another friend of his.

Also enjoyed the general style and tempo of this. It reads very well; in a way almost too well - I wanted to slow down, but I couldn't because it tugged me along ;-)

I'm not sure where the title came from, though? Might be the late hour, but I'm not seeing the connection (well, apart from willow - weeping willow - weeping widow, which, again - I'm running on a max of 4 hours sleep a night for the past week here, so can't be expected to make too much sense :P)...?
