So, the deadline for this is today and I'm just not done *lol* But! Since I totally am working on it and it will be written and posted post haste, I figured I'd post a teaser for it just to prove it's on it's way and yes, I have a direction.

Prompt: Road To Morocco (1941): Jeff (Bing Crosby) and Turkey (Bob Hope), two wild and crazy guys adrift on a raft in the Mediterranean, are cast away on a desert shore and hop a convenient camel to an Arabian Nights city where Turkey soon finds himself sold as a slave...to luscious Princess Shalmar of Karameesh (Dorothy Lamour). Naturally, Jeff would like to rescue Turkey from this "dire" fate, even if it means taking his place! But they haven't figured on virile desert chieftain Mullay Kassim (Anthony Quinn), who has designs on the princess himself...

Summary: “Well, you can stay here and wait to fry in the sun while no one considers the fact that we’re stranded in the middle of nowhere on a backwater planet we weren’t even supposed to be investigating today, thank you Cadman,” Rodney hissed as he glared at John, “but I’m headed back to our jumper to try and figure out a way to fly the damn thing back.”

Oh, and for those who haven't seen the movie, there is a song in there that Jeff and Turkey sing called 'Road to Morocco'. While I don't have that song, I do have the Stewie and Brian version from Family Guy called Road to Rhode Island [Buy]. Spoof of an ep, but it's the same tune that John's whistling :)

I have *checks watch* 1 hour and 17 minutes to finish this ficlet so that it gets in on time. And since my last ficlet was what, 5 days late, I'm really really trying to get this one in on time. I can see the whole thing in my head! Why then can I not find the words to put down on the paper (well, Wrod doc but that's all semantics, ain't it?) so as to finish the story on time? WHY?

*theoretically kicks at laptop, but not really cause breaking my laptop would make me cry an awful lot*

Inspiration, come to me!

I thoroughly hate thunder storms. Just hate them. They are loud and flashy, and they cut off my internet and cable and power so that all I'm left with is a flashlight and a notebook to try and entertain myself while it passes because, again, since they bother me I can't very well sleep while it's crashing outside my window. Bah. Seriously a six hour storm. Didn't stop until 3am at which time I figured I might as well just go to bed instead of bothering to fix the internet. I was planning on playing at Salvage but noooo, Mother Nature had other plans.

I guess it wasn't all bad - it did force me to catch up on my stagesoflove fics that were due. Well, two are due and one was overdue *lol* But I'm 2/3 caught up now. I've posted both Process Stories: First Time and Galileo: Water (which was almost a week overdue. yikes.) Now all I have to do is write Galileo: Fire, hopefully tonight since everyone else in the house will be at my brother's After-Grad party... oh, my little guy, graduating high school. *wipes tear* Anyway, hopefully while I have the house quiet I can finish that one and then be thankfully all caught up.
