Stolen from a mess of people, but it just seems like fun :)

1. Ask me one fandom-related question in the comments. This can be fandom specific or general.
2. Just one question, please, but it can (and perhaps should) have sub-parts.
3. That's it. It can be as normal or odd as you like.

In no particular order:

1. Hide & Seek - When Shep shoots Rodney and Rodney smacks to the ground. We get the 'I shot him' followed by the 'I'm invincible! In. Vin. Cible!' ditty. It was the second ep I ever saw, after Duet, and actually a much better introduction. I love Duet, as it's on the list, but if you don't know the characters you just feel bad for Rodney. But the 'I shot him' and Shep's smug grin? I couldn't help but laugh.

2. Duet - The scene where Rodney wakes up in Laura's room and realizes he's naked. The hopping around, grasping desperately at the sheet to cover his shame, the sheer horror that Laura could've possible seen him naked and did... whatnot... to him. Golden.

3. Critical Mass - Zelenka coming back from the Kiddie Planet looking like a reject Lost Boy from "Hook". Rodney calls him Mr. Mom, and Zelenka is just trying to formulate his pure anger into words. I love Zelenka, there should be more of him.

4. The Hive - 'Big dose! Big big dose!' The entire scene from Rodney taking the ridiculous amount of enzyme to his collapsing in Atlantis is so much fun. It's the rambling to himself that I just want to watch over and over and make sure I catch all of what he's saying. You know it's bad and dangerous, but you can't help but laugh at the ramble.

5. The Tower - I don't care what anyone says, I love this ep. It's light and fluffy, and sometimes you need light and fluffy. But the funniest single line is when BlondeBimboPrincess drops her dress to John and he just looks at her and goes 'I never see this coming'. Because alien women keep throwing themselves at him and he's all *wide eyed surprise*.

My favorite one is Sam/Donna from West Wing. I adore Josh/Donna because in the end, they're right. But in the beginning where she really is just an assistant, and Josh really isn't ever all that nice to her, in the scenes where Sam and Donna are together, he's nice to her. And he's always smiling at her. So in the world where there's no Josh, I'd love to see Sam & Donna have a thing. Cause unlike Josh, Sam doesn't need her. Josh needs her, and needs her up until the series ends.

But yeah, so in a world where Josh/Donna doesn't exist, I have a soft spot for Sam/Donna.

Hands down, 2.22 "Two Cathedrals" from West Wing. It's one of those episodes that I can watch over and over. From the flashbacks to Jed & Mrs. Landingham when they were younger, to Jed's speech in the National Cathedral, to Mrs. Landingham telling him that if he was scared then 'God Jed, I don't want to know you', I think the entire ep is the best hour of television I've ever seen. Now, most people's fav scene from it is the National Cathedral speech, but mine is the very end of the ep when they're asking if he's going to run again and Leo says 'Watch this' and Jed turns away, smiles and slips his hands into his pockets. For a show that depends so much on dialogue and banter, they showed more with that small gesture and answered the question without answering it. I get chills when Leo says 'Watch this'.

As well, I can't listen to Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms without having a wistful little feeling for the ep.

Best hour of television EVER.

Meeeee tooooooooooooo.

To everything you said.

My absolute favourite part is the montage itself. Jed and Charlie without their coats, and the rain, and that shot of all of their feet walking together.
It really is indescribable.

I can't listen to Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms without having a wistful little feeling for the ep.

Absolutely.

Jed Bartlett, The West Wing: I worked in politics, so I have a great love of any politician who routinely takes the high road. I love that he's smart, I love that he can be both a bleeding heart and a hard ass. I love that he cares for the people who are around him like they are children of his own. I love how he took Charlie under his wing when he didn't have to because this kid was just his body man. But over the course of seven years, he helped Charlie grow into the man he was supposed to become and I don't think that would've happened without Jed's help. He's still in love with his wife and still respects her after all this time. He's who I wish I had the chance to vote for.

Laura Roslin, Battlestar Galactica: Again, I have a weakness for strong leaders. I think she's probably the best portrayed strong, capable woman on TV right now. She was thrust into this job she never wanted but she adapted to and took on the responsiblity because it was her job. She can be both empathetic but never takes crap from anyone. She delights in the young men around her but also recognizes the value of experience. Hell, her with both the Adama boys are great fun. I just love the fact that she is a strong, capable female leader - and that only made it hurt more after the vote at the end of Season 2.

Sayid Jarrah, Lost: Everyone on the show has a sob story and a 'tragic past' but for some reason, Sayid's hits me most. And I think the best part of it is that he doesn't apologize for it. Yes, he's done some terrible things, but he knows why he did, he knows who he did it for, and he knows that while they were despicable, some of those skills are coming in handy here on the island. He's almost... reverent in what he does. It's odd, I can't put it into words. And all I want is for him to get off the island and finally find Nadia. Forget Shannon, although I can forgive him for that lapse of judgement cause hey, deserted island.

Dr. Carson Beckett, Stargate Atlantis: I'm also a sucker for empathetic men, and if there was a character on SGA who was that, it's Carson. I love that he's confident in his element (you don't mess with the boss in the infirmary) and he can bark out orders and get things done, but outside of his comfort zone he doesn't even try to be brave. These crazy things off world, that damn chair that Rodney keeps shoving him into, these things freak him out. I also love how he can be a true friend to all of those around him. When John always interacts casually, you get the feeling that it's still only skin deep, but Carson wears his love for people on his sleeve and there is just something so endearing about him. I just want him to be happy... with Laura Cadman, but that's my own lil personal preference *lol*

Jess Mariano, Gilmore Girls: I so wish he'd gotten his spin off, but I digress. He was Rory's love interest after Dean, and he was everything that Dean wasn't - smartassed, well read, intelligent, rough around the edges. And I hate Dean, to the core of my body... mostly because he reminds me of an ex-boyfriend, but I digress. Jess never tried to control Rory like Dean did. But he was also closed up and slightly 'better than thou' when it came to some of the kooky town things that Rory loved. But best of all, after he left, there was growth in him. He got a real job, he finally published his first novel, he's cleaned up his act and is a respectable member of society instead of just some punk teenager who knows too much for his own good. When he met Logan, Logan was condecending and Jess wouldn't put up with it, but he dared to ask Rory why she put up with it as well. Jess keeps Rory on her toes, and God knows that she needs it because she has generally terrible taste in men. I keep hoping that she'll eventually end up with Jess because he's the only guy she's ever dated who treated her as an equal. And I love him for that.
