After such a long and dreary semi-winter (because a winter with only one blah lazy snow is no winter in my book) we had our first 70 degree day. Oh bliss, oh love, oh glorious sunshine of awesomeness. Add into it that it wasn't even that windy. And it's a rare day that isn't windy around here. The joys of living near the water. Lovely day to go out and watch a tennis match and just enjoy the sunshine. The time of year to break out the flip flops and sunscreen - although that's really a moot point since I wear suncreen all year. I can't help it. I get mistaken for eight years younger than I actually am, and I'd like for that trend to continue when I'm 40 *lol*
Went to go see V for Vendetta tonight. OMG, so fantastic. That was the first movie I've seen in a long time that I didn't get bored once. Hugo Weaving is near the top of my awesome people list now. Such a fantastic film. May have to say something more deep and meaningful tomorrow, but for right now - omg, awesome.
Currently working on my third of five ficlets for
stagesoflove. I think I'm on like my third complete start from scratch. I know where I want it to go, but it hasn't sounded right the way I've gotten there yet. Silly, fickle inspiration. You'll hit me at the most inopportune time, I know. That and I keep waiting for the banter bug to bite for the Shep & McKay buddy fic that I'm working on as well. I have an bit idea that I'm chewing on, as I'm sure
spazzula is happy to hear, but I just need to figure out how to word it. Working on it, promise! Banter and Touch. Touch might be easier if the bug bites hehe.
ETA: And I should not be up at 3am watching Road to Utopia, but how can you refuse Bing and Bob? I love Bing and Bob. And lines such as...
Bob: I didn't want to get on this crap boat anyway. I was Shangrila'd, I tell ya!
Bing: You mean Shanghied.
Bob: Whatever. One of those towns in Egypt.
And...
Bob: I'm not afraid of dying, it's the killing part that bothers me.

Date: 2006-04-02 07:02 am (UTC)Which is why I'm not logging out and logging in on my other SN. Bah. Between the connection and the laptop, it might, I dunno, make this section of the building explode. Pretend I'm on spazzula, *Jedi mind trick hand wave*
(Besides, I have better icon selection here, heh.)

Date: 2006-04-02 07:14 am (UTC)And it's not helping that Road to Utopia is on TCM right now and is putting me in a Bing & Bob, and therefore Shep & McKay mood. I really was planning on going to bed, but... I mean, Bing! And Bob!

Date: 2006-04-02 04:23 pm (UTC)i completely sympathize with your fickle inspiration problem too. *sigh* i'm having the same problem now (and have been since... december).
i'm excited to read your buddy fic when it's finished. it sounds fun, especially if bing & bob are your initial inspiration.
